Real Betis have announced the signing of Luiz Henrique from Brazilian club Fluminense. The 21-year-old joins Los Verdiblancos until 2028.

Fluminense player Henrique has been in talks with Betis for months, and in March Fluminense president Mário Bittencourt admitted that the 21-year-old would play for Betis next season.

Luiz Henrique joined Fluminense’s academy in 2012. He made his debut with the senior squad in August of 2020. Since his debut, he has played 118 games, scoring 14 goals and providing 13 assists.

The player will arrive in Seville in the next few days to join up with Betis.

“There are a lot of people, who have gone through a lot of difficulties and have worked hard to overcome them, who support me and are happy for me. My wife helped me a lot in the bad times to keep my head in the right place. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be a professional today. I am very grateful for her support,” he said in quotes picked up by AS.
