After an initial six-month loan spell at Lorient this past season, 18-year-old PSG midfielder Ayman Kari will now spend the entirety of next season with Les Merlus, the club has announced this week.
The French youth international would make his Ligue 1 debut at the Parc des Princes against his formative club, coming on in the second half as the Bretons inflicted a 3-1 defeat on the eventual league champions. He went on to make another four appearances before the end of the campaign, all as a substitute.
Despite reported interest from England, the teenager will stay on at Lorient for the upcoming campaign, although he remains under contract at Paris Saint-Germain until the end of the following season. According to RMC, however, the deal agreed between the two Ligue 1 clubs includes an option to make the move permanent, which is set at €5m. Kari made his return to Lorient training this Wednesday.
