After signing Álvaro Morata from Atlético de Madrid, Milan today confirmed their second signing of the summer, bringing in center-back Pavlović from RB Salzburg.
The Serbian costs Milan €20m (including bonuses) and he arrives to strengthen the backline of Paulo Fonseca. He is expected to earn €1.8m per season wearing the colors of the Diavolo.
“Milan is pleased to announce the signing of Strahinja Pavlović from Fußballclub Red Bull Salzburg. The Serbian defender has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2028, with an option for an additional year,” a statement reads.
“Born in Šabac, Serbia, on 24 May 2001, Strahinja developed in the youth academy of Partizan Belgrade, where he made his first team debut in February 2019. In two seasons with Partizan, he made 57 appearances and scored 2 goals, winning a Serbian Cup. Between 2020 and 2022, he played for Monaco, Cercle Brugge, and Basel before moving to Red Bull Salzburg, where he accumulated 71 appearances and 6 goals, winning an Austrian Bundesliga title. Additionally, he has earned 38 caps and scored 4 goals for the Serbian national team, having made his debut on 3 September 2020.
“Pavlović will wear the number 31 for the Rossoneri.” Pavlović was one of the stars of Serbia in the Euros. The 23-year-old will train at Milanello and meet the team when they return from the USA.
