Borussia Dortmund have announced that they have completed the signing of midfielder Pascal Groß from Brighton for €7m.
The fee paid for Groß is €7m upfront and then €3m in potential bonuses. The German international also signs a contract at Die Schwarzgelben until 202
On his move to Dortmund, Groß said:
“I’m really looking forward to BVB. For me, this change is simply a huge thing, because I’ve been a Dortmund fan since I was a little boy. I will try to pay back the club’s trust in my own way and can’t wait to play in Signal Iduna Park with my new teammates in front of the BVB fans and to work together with everyone to achieve our big goals.”
The 33-year-old is expected to join up with Dortmund’s squad in their training camp in Bad Ragaz reports Sky Germany this week after completing his medical in Dortmund.
Groß will have his chance once again to play in the Bundesliga but this time at the highest level after previously making his name for Ingolstadt. During his time on England’s south coast, the Mannheim native developed into a versatile player who played a crucial role in Brighton qualifying for European football, Groß form also earned him a call-up to the German national team.
This is Dortmund’s third signing of the summer after bringing Serhou Guirassy and Waldemar Anton to the Signal Iduna Park from VfB Stuttgart. Dortmund are also closing in on completing the signing of Yan Couto from Manchester City.
