Official: Nicola named new Cremonese coach

Newly promoted Serie A side Cremonese have confirmed the appointment of Davide Nicola as their new head coach.

Ex-Cagliari coach Nicola is the new head coach of Cremonese.

The Grigiorossi announced on Tuesday that the Italian tactician had signed a contract until June 30, 2027.

“Known for giving his teams a clear tactical identity, as well as for his strong motivation skills, and outstanding personal qualities, Nicola represents the ideal profile to lead the Grigiorossi with experience and expertise in the challenging Serie A campaign ahead.

“The club and ownership welcome the new coach and wish him all the best in his work,” Cremonese said.

Cagliari sacked Nicola only a few weeks ago despite securing Serie A survival in the 2024-25 season.
