The NUFC Head Coach speaking following the away day delights of hammering Burnley 4-1.

Plus of course, Eddie Howe hoping to now get another win against Brighton to ensure United stay top six.

Eddie Howe on Kieran Trippier:

“Kieran is getting closer.

“He has trained this week.

“It was the first time with the group.

“He trained well, it has been a good week for him.

“I will make a decision today whether he will be involved tomorrow.”

Great news and sounds like every chance of Trippier making the bench tomorrow. Livramento played really well at Burnley, so no need anyway to rush Trippier back into the starting eleven.

When the club released their usual midweek image gallery from training, there had been no sign of Kieran Trippier amongst the photos. So a big positive that he is making progress.

Miguel Almiron was another player not seen in those official training images but Eddie Howe has confirmed that all good with him as well, plus the same with Joelinton. The pair of them having came off the bench against Burnley.

Eddie Howe on Joelinton and Miguel Almiron:

“They have trained well; we have been able to get some good work into their bodies.

“They are still building their robustness if you like, you need the load behind you to stay fit.

“They are doing well.”

Eddie Howe also confirmed Fabian Schar was still out but feeling better and possibility he could make a return for the Man U and/or Brentford matches.

So it looks like hopefully for this Brighton match, Newcastle United with everybody available other than Sandro Tonali, Fabian Schar, Lewis Miley, Jamaal Lascelles, Sven Botman, Matt Targett and Joe Willock.
