An official Newcastle United injury update on Friday morning.
Eddie Howe talking to journalists.
The NUFC Head Coach speaking ahead of another match ay=t St James’ Park.
Eddie Howe hoping to see his team make it tens wins in a row, after picking up their ninth victory on the trot, in Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat of Wolves.
Official Newcastle United injury update – Availability for the Bournemouth match and beyond:
Eddie Howe stating after Fabian Schar missed the Wolves match through illness:
“We will make a decision on Fabian Schar today, he trained yesterday but was not 100%, we will see how he has recovered today.
“Other than that, it is pretty much the same squad.”
Whilst speculation continues on Miguel Almiron potentially set to leave, Eddie Howe has said this morning:
“Miguel Almiron is fit, available and wants to play [against Bournemouth].
“We’re expecting him in for training today and as part of our squad tomorrow.
“With him, currently, anything could happen. But my concern is getting the squad focused for tomorrow’s game.”
Emil Krafth returned to the matchday squad against Wolves, so that appears to leave…
Harvey Barnes, Jamaal Lascelles, Callum Wilson and Nick Pope as the four set to be missing.
With then a doubt over Fabian Schar. From what Eddie Howe has said, I’m guessing that as long as both are ok, we will see Botman and Burn start against Bournemouth, with Schar likely to be on the bench.
