NAC Breda have officially announced the signing of AC Ajaccio striker Moussa Soumano (19).

NAC’s announcement noted that Ajaccio had rejected an offer for Soumano from Austrian side SK Sturm Graz in the winter of 2024. There had also been strong interest from Scottish club Aberdeen, who reportedly submitted a €500,000 bid for the player last week.

Although no official fee has been disclosed, the funds involved in the transfer will help Ajaccio financially as they await an official takeover. The club spent much of the 2024–25 Ligue 2 season in financial turmoil.

Soumano began his career at the Red Star academy. At 16, he moved to Corsica to join Ajaccio. He has scored five goals in 66 appearances for the club. The 2024–25 season was his most productive to date, registering four goals and two assists in 27 appearances.

NAC Breda compete in the Dutch Eredivisie and finished 15th last season.
