Monza have officially confirmed the signing of forward Alessio Zerbin on loan from Napoli until the end of the 2023-24 season.
The 24-year-old will be a member of the Monza squad until June 30. Napoli have not included an option to buy clause in the deal, so he is expected to return to the Stadio Maradona in the summer.
Zerbin has spent the last two seasons in the Napoli first team squad, having originally signed from Gozzano in Serie D as a teenager back in 2017.
He has been sent out on several loan spells since then, including to Viterbese, Cesena and Pro Vercelli in Serie C, as well as a productive spell at Frosinone in Serie B in 2021-22, scoring nine goals from 31 outings that campaign.
The following season saw Zerbin make both his Serie A and Champions League bows with Napoli, earning 10 appearances in the league in 2022-23, and a further seven this season. He recently netted a quick-fire brace in the Coppa Italia semi-final against Fiorentina in Riyadh last Thursday.
Napoli also made sure to wish Zerbin good luck with their announcement on social media on Thursday.
