AS Monaco attacking midfielder Eliesse Ben Seghir (20) has completed his move to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, both clubs have announced. It has been previously reported that Die Werkself had reached a €35m agreement with Les Monégasquesfor the transfer of the Moroccan international. Ben Seghir was left out of the Monaco squad that beat RC Strasbourg at the death this Sunday.
The versatile Moroccan international was reportedly Erik ten Hag’s priority target to replace Amine Adli, who recently left Bayer Leverkusen for AFC Bournemouth. Ben Seghir has signed a five-year deal with Bayer Leverkusen. “Eliesse can play wide in attack and also in central areas. He’s tough to predict and a top addition for our squad. We can look forward to his displays for Bayer 04”, said Bayer Leverkusen Sporting Director Simon Rolfes.
