Manchester United have revealed the 24-man squad that took the trip to the Czech Republic for Thursday’s Europa League showdown against Viktoria Plzen.
The Red Devils currently sit 12th in the group-stage table, so they’ll be hoping to return to English shores with three points in the bag. This could allow them to break into the Top 8 spots which guarantees a direct route to the Round of 16 instead of going through the playoffs.
On Wednesday, the club’s official website released the matchday squad for the contest, and it includes two players returning from injuries.
The first is Viktor Lindelof who has been out of action since sustaining a groin problem during the November international break. The Swedish defender has yet to feature for the club since the arrival of Ruben Amorim, so it would be interesting to see where he’ll fit in the hierarchy at the back.
Moreover, 20-year-old defensive midfielder Toby Collyer has also made his return from a physical problem, and will be hoping to make his first appearance for the senior squad since the 7-0 victory in the Carabao Cup over Barnsley in September.
The young Englishman has also been linked with a potential loan move to Leicester City, with Ruud van Nistelrooy considered an admirer of his talent.
On the other hand, Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans will miss the trip due to injuries.
