AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan is only going to be suspended for one game in Serie A following his red card against Genoa on Matchday 8.

As has been announced by Lega Serie A, the French goalkeeper is not going to be subject to a three-match ban as some had feared, meaning he is only going to miss the game against Juventus after the international break.

He will be back between the sticks against Napoli which is the game afterwards, presuming he has no fitness issues between now and then.

Maignan was shown a straight red card against Genoa and with Milan having already used their substitutes, Olivier Giroud had to go in goal and he made an important save to keep the score at 1-0.

Milan will now need to start against Juventus at San Siro with Marco Sportiello in goal. It was also confirmed that Theo Hernandez has a one-match ban for accumulation of yellow cards.
