As announced by Eredivisie club FC Volendam, Lyon midfielder Florent Sanchez Da Silva has completed a loan move to the Netherlands until the end of the 2022/23 season. There is reportedly no option to buy the player.

Volendam are currently bottom of the Eredivisie after being promoted to the Dutch first tier last season for the first time in 13 years. Da Silva has played six matches in Lyon’s second side this season who play in the fourth tier of French football, but made 15 appearances and created seven assists in France’s third tier with FC Villefranche, who now currently sit 13th in Championnat National table.

The player said in the official announcement that “ level,” continuing with “FC Volendam fits perfectly with what I’m looking for, because they give opportunities to young players and play offensive football.”
