Lazio have officially sold club captain Ciro Immobile to Besiktas, ending a memorable eight-year spell in the Italian capital.
The 34-year-old Italian striker has already flown to Istanbul to join his new club, putting pen to paper on a two-year contract reportedly worth around €6 million net per season plus add-ons. He was visibly emotional when leaving Italy, having grown into a talismanic figure with the Biancocelesti.

Immobile proved himself a star during his eight-year spell with Lazio, scoring 207 goals and providing 54 assists in 340 appearances across all competitions, playing a crucial role in the club’s Coppa Italia success and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
As confirmed, Ciro Immobile has now officially joined Besiktas after leaving Lazio in a deal worth circa €3 million, giving him the chance to try out a new adventure in Turkey following the conclusion of his cycle in Rome.
Besiktas finished a disappointing sixth in the Turkish Super Lig last season, prompting them to look for key reinforcements ahead of the new campaign.
