Lazetić was signed by Milan last January from Crvena zvezda but was never really given minutes in the first time, often finding himself on the bench, in the stands, or with the Primavera side.

Milan and Lazetić have decided that it would be best for the 19-year-old striker to leave the club in this window and go to a smaller league in order to get more consistent playing time.

“CASHPOINT SCR Altach strengthens with Marko Lazetić. The Serbian center forward is arriving on loan from Milan. After goalkeeper Andreas Jungdal, Lazetić is the second player to be transferred from the Rossoneri to Altach in the current winter transfer window,” a statement on Altach’s website reads.

“Lazetić moved from his youth club Red Star Belgrade to the Italian city in January 2022. At the end of November, the 19-year-old made his debut in Serie A and was substituted on in the Coppa Italia in April 2022 in the city derby against Inter. Lazetić also got match practice in the Primavera and the UEFA Youth League, where he scored twice in this year’s Group Stage. In addition, the right-footed player has represented in all the Serbia youth national teams – most recently he led the U19s onto the field as captain.”

Altach are coached by legendary striker and close friend of Stefano Pioli, Miroslav Klose. Lazetić will hope to learn a thing or two from Klose and come back to Milan stronger next year.
