Kylian Mbappé (25) has officially announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain today in a message on his social media.

The French forward who joined from AS Monaco in 2017 confirmed today that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season and that Sunday will be his last game at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappé during his time in his hometown has broken records and made history as the club’s record top scorer. However, one trophy has alluded the star during this time. The Champions League remains an ambition for the player, and it will be at his next club that he will try and win his maiden European trophy.

His announcement comes after PSG were eliminated from the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening, a disappointment considering how much hope had been building in this campaign. Mbappé didn’t mention where his next club would be but it is highly likely that he will be joining Real Madrid next season.
