Ligue 1 side Strasbourg on Sunday night announced the arrival of 34-year-old French striker Kevin Gameiro on a free transfer after his contract with Valencia expired last month.
13 years after last playing for Strasbourg, Gameiro makes a triumphant return to the Alsace side who start a new season under the orders of Julien Stéphan.

Gameiro had the following to say on the move:
“I am very happy to join Racing. It is with great pride that I can wear this shirt and be back with the supporters. I have always continued to follow the club even in the bad moments. Strasbourg is my home. Here is where I had my youth career, I made my first footsteps professional here and I also met my wife here. This was the moment to come back.”
