Official | Karol Fila leaves Strasbourg to join Dender | OneFootball

RC Strasbourg Alsace have announced that Karol Fila (26) has left the club to join Belgian side FCV Dender.

Fila had not found much game time at Strasbourg since joining the club in 2021 from his formative club Lechia Gdańsk in 2021. The defender found it difficult to nail down a place in the starting lineup making the majority of his appearances for the club from the bench.

His last appearance for Strasbourg would come this season when he was played for the final six minutes of Le Racing’s opening fixture away to Montpellier HSC. Last season was a frustrating year for Fila with the defender suffering a serious injury that would rule him out of action.

Fila will be hoping for far more success in the Belgium Pro League where he has some prior experience. The defender was sent on loan to the neighbouring country in the 2022/23 season when he had a spell at S.V. Zulte Waregem
