Having lured Karim Benzema away from Real Madrid, Saudi Arabia are making attempts to tempt more legends away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

Luka Modric has received a lucrative two-year contract offer from the Middle East, which he is understood to be seriously considering.

Now, Sport BILD (h/t AS) is reporting that Modric’s fellow midfielder Toni Kroos has also received an enticing offer from the ambitious Saudi Arabian football project.

However, the former German international has respectfully declined the offer from the Middle East country as he wishes to remain at Real Madrid for one more year.

Kroos’ current contract with the club expires on June 30, but it has long been reported that the 33-year-old has agreed a one-year renewal with the club.

Merengues is yet to arrive, however, which left the door open for Saudi Arabia to try and make an approach for Kroos.

But, the former Bayern Munich midfield mainstay has no intentions of leaving Real Madrid at this point and wishes to remain at the club for one more season.

Despite his advancing years, Kroos continued to be a key part of Carlo Ancelotti’s setup last season, featuring in 52 matches across all competitions, in which he produced a return of two goals and six assists.

And even though Jude Bellingham is bound to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, Kroos’ role is unlikely to diminish given the trust that Ancelotti puts in the experienced midfielder.
