Juventus have officially confirmed that defender Nicolo Savona has signed a new and improved contract extension that will tie him to the club until the summer of 2030.

The 22-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year contract after a decent breakthrough season that has seen him become a regular in the Bianconeri first-team.

Savona made his senior Juventus debut during the first Serie A match of the 2024-25 season, in a 3-0 win at home against Como in August.

He has since gone on to make 37 appearances in all competitions this season, including 28 in Serie A and seven in the Champions League.

Savona was also handed his first call-up to the senior Italy national team under Luciano Spalletti for Nations League fixtures against Belgium and France in November, but remains uncapped.

Savona has been with the club since 2011, when he was just eight years old.

“Nicolo Savona’s ties to Juventus have strengthened further, as the club has officially extended his contract until June 30, 2030,” a statement on the club website read.

“The 22-year-old defender, who rose through the club’s Youth Sector, became a full member of the Men’s First Team in August 2024.

“Savona has been Bianconero since he was eight years old, progressing steadily through every level of the club – from the youth teams to the Primavera, then on to Juventus Next Gen, and now a First Team player.

“The 2024/25 season marked a major milestone in his career, as he made his debut in Juventus’s win over Como at the Allianz Stadium on August 19, opening the Serie A season.

“That appearance was the first of 37 across all competitions in 2024/25. Though primarily a defender, Savona has shown a willingness to contribute in attack as well, scoring the first two goals of his professional career – both away from home, in Verona and Udine – helping secure important victories for the team.

“Savona’s journey with Juventus is set to continue for many years to come.

“Congratulations, Nicolo – see you on the pitch again soon!”
