The 25-year-old had made the move from KAA Gent to Lille in 2020 for €27m, but then allowed his contract to run down on June 30.
Although he is a free agent, this was by no means a cost-free transfer, because there were huge sums for the commission of his representatives.
The official figure stated by Juventus is €12.5m, payable over three years.
He has a remarkable record at international level with Canada, scoring 36 goals with 20 assists in just 67 senior caps for his country.
Last season, David found the net 25 times with 12 assists in 49 competitive games for LOSC between Ligue 1, the Champions League and Coupe de France.
