Jobe Bellingham is officially a Borussia Dortmund player, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Jude, who played for BVB before moving on to Real Madrid.
The Black and Yellows confirmed the signing of the 19-year-old midfielder on Tuesday, securing him on a contract until 2030.
“We’ve known Jobe for many years and have naturally followed his development very closely. Last year, he took another huge step forward and has matured into a true leader at just 19. His presence and charisma in central midfield are remarkable and will strengthen us across different systems,” said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.
“We’re thrilled to have completed the transfer before the FIFA Club World Cup and look forward to seeing Jobe donning our colours for the first time in the USA. He’s in top form and burning with passion for the challenge ahead. Jobe wants to - and will - carve out his own path at Dortmund and put his unique stamp on our style of play.”
Jobe Bellingham is looking forward to playing for Dortmund at the upcoming Club World Cup.
“I’m excited to be a Borussia Dortmund player and to fight for titles with this great club. I want to do my part in celebrating success with these incredible fans and will work hard on myself and with the team every day. I’m also really looking forward to wearing the black and yellow jersey at the FIFA Club World Cup," he said.
