Official – Joaquin Correa Not Called Up For Inter Vs Atalanta

Inter forward Joaquin Correa will not be in the squad for this evening’s Serie A clash with San Siro with Atalanta as the Argentine continues to recover from a minor injury.

This is confirmed by the Nerazzurri on their official site, where they list the complete 23-man squad that will be available to manager Simone Inzaghi for the fixture, with Correa absent.

Correa suffered a contusion to his pelvis during last weekend’s match against Bologna, with the 27-year-old having to leave the pitch in some discomfort during the first half following a clash with Rossoblu defender Lorenzo De Silvestri.

Tests revealed that Correa had not suffered any serious injuries, but that he had sustained a bruise which would take some time to heal.

The Argentine was ruled out of Tuesday’s trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina, and will also miss this evening’s match, though it remains to be seen if he will make his return in time for the Nerazzurri’s Champions League match with Shakhtar Donetsk during the week.

The squad list is as follows:

Goalkeepers: 1 Handanovic, 21 Cordaz, 97 Radu.

Defenders: 6 de Vrij, 11 Kolarov, 13 Ranocchia, 32 Dimarco, 33 D’Ambrosio, 36 Darmian, 37 Skriniar, 95 Bastoni.

Midfielders: 2 Dumfries, 5 Gagliardini, 8 Vecino, 14 Perisic, 20 Calhanoglu, 23 Barella, 38 Sangalli, 77 Brozovic.

Forwards: 7 Sanchez, 9 Dzeko, 10 Lautaro, 48 Satriano.
