Qatari club Al Duhail has officially announced the signing of Cameroon international defender Jean-Charles Castelletto, arriving from FC Nantes in a transfer estimated at around 4 million euros. The 30-year-old has signed a three-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2027.

Initially tipped to join Al Jazira Club (United Arab Emirates), Castelletto ultimately opted for a move to Qatar after a decisive late push from Al Duhail sealed the deal. The club aims to bolster its defensive line ahead of the upcoming season.Meanwhile, FC Nantes sent a heartfelt thank you message to their now former player via their official channels:

"Jean-Charles Castelletto joins Al Duhail SC.The Club thanks Jean-Charles for five great seasons, notably for his contribution to the Coupe de France title in 2022.FC Nantes wishes him all the best for this new stage of his career.Thank you for everything, J-C!"

Arriving at Nantes in the summer of 2020, Castelletto played 163 matches in all competitions, establishing himself as a pillar of the Nantes defense thanks to his consistency and defensive impact.
