Ivan Perisic officially left Inter and joined Bayern Munich on loan this morning.
The Croatian scored nine goals for the Nerazzurri last season but was surplus to requirements under new boss Antonio Conte.
Bayern will have the option to make Perisic’s move permanent at the end of the season, with reports suggesting this would cost around €25 million.
“FC Internazionale Milano announces that Ivan Perisic has joined Bayern Munich,” a statement on Inter’s website read.
“The Croatian player has signed for the German club on an initial season-long loan with a view to making the deal permanent at the end of this period.”
Perisic has already spent four seasons in the Bundesliga, spending two years with Borussia Dortmund before moving to Wolfsburg.
Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic said: “Ivan will give us a hand with his great experience at international level.
“He’s a very strong technical player and he’s flexible in attack. I’m sure he’ll settle in quickly because he already knows the Bundesliga and our coach Niko Kovac.”
Perisic made 162 appearances for Inter after joining in 2015, scoring 40 goals and helping the club return to the Champions League.
It remains to be seen whether he has played his final game for the Nerazzurri or whether Bayern will send him back to Italy next summer.
