Italy legend Andrea Pirlo has opened a new chapter in his managerial career, as he has been confirmed as the new head coach of the recently-founded Dubai-based United FC.
The former Milan and Juventus midfielder has reportedly signed a two-year contract with the UAE first division, which will tie him through until the summer of 2027.

United FC was founded less than three years ago, officially launching in September 2022.
They earned promotion from the UAE second division via a second-placed finish during its inaugural season in 2022-23. They have since retained their top-flight status for the 2025-26 season.

For Pirlo, this is the fourth senior side on his managerial CV, following his previous experiences as head coach of Juventus, Fatih Kamagumruk and Sampdoria.
Pirlo’s first match in charge of United FC is currently scheduled for September 20, when he and the team are due to take on Al Dhaid in the UAE first division.
