Good news has arrived for the Italian football clubs as they will now be allowed to welcome more fans at the stadiums. Instead of 50% which has been the cap since the start of the season, the new capacity will be 75%.

Of course, this is fantastic news for AC Milan and all the other clubs for that matter, seeing as more people means more revenue. And since many countries now all 100% capacity, this change was coming in Italy.

The Undersecretary of State for Sport, Valentina Vezzali, spoke at the Festival del Calcio in Trento about the matter and revealed that 75% has been approved. In addition, she stated that the plan is to allow 100% in just 15 days.

“The decision has been made, the capacity will be 75 per cent in open-air stadiums and 60 per cent for closed arenas. I hope that in circa 15 days we can reach 100 per cent. This is a small sign of support for the world of sport,” she said as cited by Football Italia.

In other words, the cap will be 75% for Milan’s game against Hellas Verona after the international break. Their next home game after that could perhaps allow 100%, which would indeed be very nice to see.
