Official | Ismaïla Sarr joins Crystal Palace from Marseille

Crystal Palace have confirmed on their official social media channels that they have completed the permanent signing of Ismaïla Sarr (26) from Olympique de Marseille.

The former Watford forward joins the Premier League club from Marseille for a fee in the region of €15m, according to The Athletic. Sarr leaves Ligue 1 just one season after joining Marseille for a fee of €13m from Watford. The 26-year-old made 35 appearances across all competitions for OM last term, scoring 5 goals and registering 6 assists.

The Senegalese international attacker has signed a 5-year contract at Selhurst Park set to last until 2029. Sarr is the Eagles’ third signing of the summer transfer window after they secured deals to sign Chadi Riad from Real Bétis and Daichi Kamada from Lazio.

Replacements ready?

Marseille will now look to bring in reinforcements to replace Sarr. Les Olympiens are in negotiations with Arsenal to sign Eddie Nketiah but are yet to agree a fee with the Premier League side despite agreeing personal terms with the player.
