Inter Milan have been officially announced as one of the clubs that have already qualified for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The summer of 2025 will witness the first edition of the expanded version of the tournament. It will feature 32 sides from all around the globe.

Thanks to their recent exploits in the Champions League, Inter will be one of the two clubs that will represent Serie A in the tournament that will be held in the United States.

On Sunday, the organizers announced the format of the tournament, reports FcInterNews.

The announcement also included the identities of the clubs that have already booked their spots in the competition.

In Europe, Inter is among eight sides who have guaranteed a place. The other clubs are Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto and Benfica.

The other team that will represent Italian football will be either Juventus or Napoli. The Bianconeri are currently ahead in the rankings with 47 points. But their European absence this season means their tally will remain intact.

On the other hand, the Partenopei can improve on their 41 points since they have qualified for the Round of 16 in the current edition of the Champions League.

The source also reveals that the competition will divide the 32 clubs into eight groups of four. Each two clubs from the same group will face one another once.

The winners of the groups and their runners-up will advance to the knockout stages.

The 2025 Club World Cup will kick off on June 15th, while the final will be held on July 15th.
