Official: Hauge joins Eintracht on a permanent basis after his loan spell turned into an obligation to buy | OneFootball

Jens Petter Hauge has permanently moved to Eintracht, for roughly €15m.

Hauge joined Milan in the summer of 2020 from Bodø/Glimt for €4m and after one season with the club in which he struggled for minutes, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan with option to buy which can become an obligation.

The Norwegian spent the last season in Germany, scoring 3 goals in 37 appearances and today Milan announced that he’s been officially sold to Eintracht.

“Milan can confirm that Hauge has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent basis after his loan deal from last summer turned into an obligation to buy following the completion of certain prerequisite conditions throughout the season,” a statement reads. “The Club would like to congratulate Jens Petter for the recent victory in the Europa League and wish him all the best for the future.”

Eintracht paid €2m for the loan of Hauge, with the buy-out obligation set at €8m + €2m in easily-attained bonuses and €3m in bonuses relating to them winning the Europa League. So Milan get in total €15m from the operation, in addition to the 15% of a future sale they are also entitled to.

This money will give Milan in a nice boost for the upcoming transfer market as they look to improve the squad following their Scudetto win in the 2021/22 season.
