FC Metz have signed former striker Habib Diallo (30), the Ligue 1 side has announced. The Senegal international was previously under contract at Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab. However, since making the move two years ago, the Senegal international has struggled. Metz pounced and Diallo was interested in making a return to his formative club.

Diallo spent seven years in Moselle. The Senegalese logged a remarkable record of 48 goals and 14 assists in 116 games played with Les Grenats. Diallo has put pen to paper over a three-year deal with Stéphane Le Mignan’s Metz side. Signing Diallo represents a significant boost for the promoted Ligue 1 outfit, who have lost their first two Ligue 1 outings this season.
