Fiorentina have officially announced the signing of experienced Serie A wing-back Robin Gosens, who joins after a 12 month stint in the Bundesliga with Union Berlin.

The former Atalanta and Inter wide man has joined on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy under certain sporting conditions.

He joins after a relatively productive season with Union on an individual level, having scored six goals from 30 Bundesliga outings, plus another one from his six Champions League appearances.

Though a 20-time Germany international, the 2023-24 season was the first that Gosens had played in the Bundesliga.

He had joined Die Eisernen in a deal worth a reported €15m from Inter, having initially joine the Nerazzurri on loan with an obligation to buy from Atalanta.

The 30-year-old spent five seasons with La Dea, scoring 25 goals from 121 Serie A appearances.
