Turkish giants Fenerbahce have now sealed the signing of Bosnian striker Edin Džeko, who arrives after his contract at the Nerazzurri expired.
Džeko’s entourage had spoken to the Turkish giants in Istanbul just before the Champions League final but the striker was then waiting for the Nerazzurri’s contract offer. But that never came and despite some initial roadblocks, the deal has now been sealed by Fener.
The club have confirmed that the striker arrives at the club on a free transfer and the move is subject to a medical and the final details of the contract.
Džeko’s agent Alessandro Lucci had been negotiating a move to the Turkish side for the last few days and there were some struggles that emerged two days ago. But the details have been ironed out and as it was expected, the player will join the club on a free transfer.
He had joined Inter for a very low fee from Roma, winning the Coppa Italia twice and reaching the Champions League final last season.
