Inter have officially secured the services of Juan Cuadrado on a free transfer.

An official statement from the Nerazzurri confirmed the arrival of former Juventus man Juan Cuadrado on free agency. The Colombian’s contract with the Bianconeri ended this summer, and he could negotiate with other clubs. Inter saw the opportunity and wrapped up the deal before competitors came into play.

Manager Simone Inzaghi likes the 35-year-old for his technical prowess and extensive Serie A experience but the fans have shown discontent recently as the player has been a part of several altercations over the years with Inter players during the derbies.

Cuadrado signs a one-year contract with the Coppa Italia champions and he is set to earn a salary worth €2.5 million plus bonuses.

The winger is expected to become the direct replacement for Raoul Bellanova, who saw his loan deal expire last month and has signed with Torino.
