FC Nordsjælland have confirmed the Emil Roback’s loan deal has been terminated and that the forward will return to AC Milan early.
On their official website, the Danish club confirmed that they and Milan have cancelled the loan agreement that was meant to run until the summer. In August, Roback signed a season-long loan agreement but he has made just a single appearance in the FCN shirt.
As a result, the parties have already decided to terminate the deal and he will return to Italy where the Rossoneri will now evaluate whether to have him play in the Primavera or whether to try and find another more suitable loan destination.
Regarding the decision, Nordsjælland’s sporting director Jan Laursen explained why Roback has found it difficult.
“We have a squad with strong competition for places, and it has been pleasing to see so many players bid at a very high level in the autumn. It has produced a number of great performances and results for the team, but it has also made the path to playing time difficult for Emil,” he said.
“Therefore, after good dialogue with AC Milan, we have agreed that it is the best solution for all parties to give Emil this opening for new opportunities, and we wish him all the best in the future.”
