Duarte joined Milan in the summer of 2019 from Flamengo for a reported €10-11 million but he failed to make any kind of impact with the Rossoneri.

Since January 2021, the player has been at İstanbul Başakşehir on loan with option to buy, and today it became official that the center back’s time under contract with the 19-time Scudetto winners has ended.

“Milan can confirm that Léonardo Campos Duarte da Silva has joined İstanbul Başakşehir on a permanent basis. The Club would like to wish Léo all the best for the future in his personal and professional life,” a statement reads.

According to Milannews.it, Milan are getting €2m plus 40% of a future resale for Duarte.
