Dele Alli has officially signed a contract with Como after training with the Serie A squad and coach Cesc Fabregas for a couple of weeks and could make his debut tomorrow.

He joined them for their winter break camp in Marbella and continued to work with the side on their return to Italy.

Alli did enough to earn a contract until June 2026, with an option to extend, and can be available to play from tomorrow’s Serie A match against Udinese.

With 37 senior caps for England, the 28-year-old creative midfielder’s career faltered due to injuries and off the field issues.

He played for Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and most recently was on loan at Besiktas until that contract expires in June 2024.

Como noted in their formal statement that they are “providing Dele with a supportive environment where he can gradually integrate into the squad. While there will be no immediate performance expectations, the club is confident that he will make a significant contribution.”

Fabregas also assured that Alli will be given all the time and space he needs to flourish at Como, which is based near the iconic Lake Como.

“The club believes in Dele’s potential and is committed to helping him rediscover his best form. His experience and leadership qualities will undoubtedly benefit the squad,” the coach told the official club website.
