Charles De Ketelaere is officially no longer part of Milan as Atalanta have bought him out.
After a disappointing debut season with the Rossoneri in 2022/23, CDK moved to Atalanta on loan with option to buy.
The Belgian was brought back to life by Gian Piero Gasperini, had a very good year in which he helped Atalanta finish 4th, and also win the Europa League, beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final.
Today, Atalanta and Milan made it official that De Ketelaere will remain at La Dea:
“Milan can confirm that Charles De Ketelaere has joined Atalanta BC on a permanent basis,” a statement reads on the Diavolo website. “The Club would like to wish Charles all the best in his personal and professional life.”
In total, the Rossoneri get from the deal: €3m for the one-year loan, €22m for the buy-out and 10% of a future resale.
