Daniel Maldini signing the contract at Monza (@acmonza.com)
Daniel Maldini has officially left Milan to re-join Monza, this time permanently.
For the first time in 72 years, there is no longer a Maldini at Milan. After Cesare, Paolo and Christian, it’s now time for Daniel to officially part ways with the club and start his new-old adventure at Monza.
The official figures of the deal are unclear, but it’s reported that Milan agreed to sell Maldini to Monza, led by Adriano Galliani, for a small fee, but retain 50% of a future resale.
“Milan announces the permanent transfer of Daniel Maldini to AC Monza,” a statement reads. “The Club thanks Daniel for his commitment and the professionalism he has always shown, and wishes him the best for his personal and professional future.”
