Official | Chelsea winger Diego Moreira signs for Strasbourg | OneFootball

Chelsea FC winger Diego Moreira (20) has completed a permanent transfer to BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 club Racing Club de Strasbourg, both clubs have announced. The Portugal Under-21 international has signed a five-year deal with Les Alsaciens. Moreira will wear the #7 jersey with Liam Rosenior’s team. The Portuguese winger only joined Chelsea FC last summer from SL Benfica, with which he won the 2021-2022 UEFA Youth League.

Moreira has already played in Ligue 1 considering he was loaned out by Chelsea FC to Olympique Lyonnais last season, making nine appearances for Les Gones before being recalled by the Blues in January. The Portugal U21 international spent the remainder of the 2023-2024 season with Chelsea’s Premier League 2 side. Strasbourg’s outlay for Moreira reportedly rises to €2m. Les Alsaciens will kick off their 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season away at Montpellier this Sunday.
