Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has rung the changes in his XI, for the club’s latest fixture.

Real are of course primed to return to action in short order, having made the short trip across Spain’s capital for a derby meeting with Leganés.

Los Blancos will head into proceedings in the knowledge that a victory would catapult them firmly back into the La Liga title picture, after Barcelona’s dropped points against Celta Vigo last night.

And, in efforts towards as much, a number of lesser-seen members of the reigning Spanish champions’ squad will be afforded the chance to contribute.

This comes with Carlo Ancelotti, amid an injury crisis in his squad, having shaken things up on Sunday.

Stepping in between the posts following a spell on the sidelines is, as expected, Thibaut Courtois.

In defence, midfielder Federico Valverde slots in at right-back, with youngster Raúl Asencio rewarded for his excellence off the bench against Osasuna last time out with a first-ever senior starting berth.

Moving into midfield, and both Dani Ceballos and Arda Güler feature front and centre, the latter’s inclusion no doubt set to bring a collective smile to the faces of Real fans the world over.

Finally, up top, in the absence of Rodrygo, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Jr. will lead the line for the visitors.
