Paulo Fonseca has named his starting XI for AC Milan’s encounter with Cagliari and as announced yesterday, Francesco Camarda plays from start.
The manager has made three changes to the starting XI compared to the win against Real Madrid, bringing in Strahinja Pavlovic, Samuel Chukwueze and Francesco Camarda. In other words, the defence and midfield have remained almost completely untouched.
Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders both did a great job at the Santiago Bernabeu, so it’s understandable why Fonseca wants to continue with them. Malick Thiaw and Fikayo Tomori also impressed, but the latter has been replaced by Strahinja Pavlovic.
Samuel Chukwueze has taken Yunus Musah’s spot in the starting XI as Milan are back to the more ‘attacking-minded’ line-up, also that’s a bit crazy to say after scoring three goals last time out. The exclamation mark, of course, is Camarda getting the chance up front.
The striker has featured for the first team before, of course, but this is his first game from start and he thus becomes one of the youngest players to do so for the club.
