Brahim Díaz is the second Milan player this week to be tested positive for Coronavirus after Theo Hernández.
Brahim has been on fire for Milan since the start of the season, pulling the strings in the role of the trequartista, scoring and assisting to give the Rossoneri valuable points in this campaign.
However, the player received bad news today as he’s positive for Coronavirus, as confirmed by Milan in a statement:
“Milan announces that Brahim Díaz tested positive in a swab carried out today. The player is doing well and is in isolation at home. The whole team has been tested with a negative result. Close monitoring with swab tests will follow according to the indications provided by the relevant health authorities, who were immediately informed.”
Brahim is the second player this week to be positive, after Theo Hernández. Unlike Theo, up until yesterday Díaz was training regularly with the rest of the squad and so there’s also a risk for more cases. Stefano Pioli pointed out in today’s press conference that Brahim was feeling ‘indisposed’ and now it has been confirmed that it is indeed COVID, which will certainly make him miss some games.
It’s yet another big hit for Milan who just can’t seem to catch a break between injuries and COVID.
