However, it’s been a while since the ex-Sevilla star last had a major role on the grandest stage.

Indeed, his four-year stint at San Siro was a complete disaster.

Despite swapping Lazio for Inter as one of Serie A’s best forwards in 2021, Correa’s career in Lombardy never took off.

Inter tried to help the Argentine get back on track by sending him out on a season-long loan to Olympique Marseille in 2023/24.

However, Correa flopped in Ligue 1 as Les Olympiens refused to sign him permanently the following summer.

He spent most of the 2024/25 campaign as a marginal figure at Giuseppe Meazza.

But he scored in his farewell game in the Nerazzurri shirt, helping Inter beat Como 2-0 on the final Serie A weekend.

In total, he made 99 appearances for the 20-time Italian champions, racking up 12 goals and nine assists.
