OGC Nice have signed Borussia Dortmund centre-forward Youssoufa Moukoko (19) on loan, both clubs have announced. The Germany international was previously of interest for Ligue 1 rivals Olympique de Marseille. Moukoko’s season-long loan move to Les Aiglons includes a reported €18m option to make the move permanent, according to L’Equipe. The INEOS-owned Ligue 1 club was in the market for a striker in the wake of an injury crisis. Nigeria international Terem Moffi suffered an ACL injury. Gaëtan Laborde sustained a foot fracture whilst Jérémie Boga and Sofiane Diop are also on the sidelines.

Moukoko featured 99 times for Borussia Dortmund, logging 18 goals and nine assists. The Germany international remains tied with BVB over a contract set to expire in 2026. He will wear the #15 jersey for Franck Haise’s Aiglons. “Thank you to OGC Nice for their trust in me,” Moukoko said. “I can’t wait to get to know the squad, the staff and the supporters. I have high expectations for this season, collectively and individually. I arrive with a lot of desire, humility and ambition. Thank you all and Issa Nissa!”
