Bologna announce their striker Joshua Zirkzee has suffered a muscle injury, so he will remain out of action for three to four weeks.

The Dutch striker was subbed off during Saturday’s 1-0 loss against Inter and underwent medical tests on Monday morning.

Bologna said in an official statement that the ex-Bayern Munich strike has been diagnosed with a first-degree lesion in the left femoral bicep and that his recovery time is estimated in three or four weeks.

Zirkzee has been a key Bologna player this season, scoring 10 goals in 27 Serie A games.

The 22-year-old has been linked with several top clubs for next season, including Milan, Arsenal, and Manchester United, but Bologna director Claudio Fenucci has recently said that the Rossoblu want to keep Zirkzee at the Stadio Dall’Ara beyond the summer.
