On moving to Leverkusen, Echeverri said:

“It’s fantastic that I can now take the next steps with the 2024 German champions in the Bundesliga and also in the Champions League. I want to get a lot of playing time here and develop into an even better player week by week. Many young professionals have already made the leap to the top of the world at Bayer Leverkusen. In the coming year, I also want to follow this path and do my part to achieve great things with Bayer 04.”

Following Echeverri’s arrival, Sevilla defender Loïc Bade is the next expected arrival. The Frenchman will join Leverkusen for a fee of around €30m.

While Feyenoord midfielder and brother of Arsenal defender Jurrien, Quinten Timber, is also a target for Leverkusen as they look to add depth to their midfield. The 24-year-old could cost a similar fee to Bade, around €30m.

When it comes to departures, Amine Adli has already left for Bournemouth, and Victor Boniface looks like the next player to join the mass exodus of players from the BayArena this summer.
