FC Barcelona are soon set to kick off their game against Athletic Club in La Liga. For both teams, this is their very last outing this season as they close off their respective campaigns afterwards. However, both Barcelona and Athletic Club will want the win here.

Unfortunately, only one team can leave with all three points. While a draw is still a possibility as well, the competitive nature of both participating opponents will definitely push them to aim for all three points at stake. However, Barcelona do not exactly have much to fight for.

The La Liga title has already been secured, so the Catalan giants are only playing this game for the sake of the competition and as a formality. However, that has not stopped Hansi Flick from fielding a starting eleven that will play for the win at San Mames.

Here is the official Barcelona starting eleven for this game.

Inaki Pena starts as the Barça goalkeeper and he will be aiming to keep a clean sheet if possible in what could potentially be his last game for the Catalan giants. However, considering just how dangerous Athletic Club can be at their best, he will also need to be at his very best in this game.

Ahead of him, Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo will form the centre-back partnership for Barcelona. They will need to remain alert while maintaining the high-line and will need to be precise with their passes as well.

On their flanks, Eric Garcia and Alejandro Balde will play as the two full-backs for Barcelona. They will need to cover a lot of ground in this game, and they will need to stay aware of their responsibilities both in attack and in defense.

In the midfield, Pedri and Gavi form the two-man pivot that will look to control the game for Barcelona and distribute possession effectively. However, they will need to help out both offensively and defensively as much as possible.

Ahead of them, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha will cover the two wings for Barcelona. In between them, Fermin Lopez will start as the central attacking midfielder and will look to create chances for others while also being a goal threat himself.

Last but not least, Robert Lewandowski starts as the team’s centre-forward up top. As the focal point of the Barcelona attack, he will get his chances to score but he will need to make sure that he makes those chances count.
