La Liga giants Barcelona have on Friday announced a fresh addition to the club’s youth setup.
The player to have put pen to paper on terms in Catalunya’s capital? Iván Cedric.
For those not familiar with his name, Cedric is a Spanish-Cameroonian attacker, who generally lines out at centre-forward.
The 22-year-old spent last season lining out on the books of Real Valladolid, before being snapped up by Las Palmas following the expiration of his contract earlier this summer.
And now, just months on, Cedric is on the move once again.
This comes with the frontman, evidently, having caught the eye of those in a position of power at the aforementioned Barcelona.
In turn, as per a statement across the website and social media platforms of Barca Atlètic on Friday, Cedric has linked up with the club on loan for the season ahead.
Should the Cameroon U23 international go on to impress, his arrival could then be made permanent next summer, with the Blaugrana also boasting an option to buy:
‘FC Barcelona and UD Las Palmas have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Iván Cédric to Barça Atlètic for one season, until June 30, 2025. The agreement includes a purchase option at the end of the season for the Blaugrana club.’
