Barcelona will wind off their 2022/23 campaign with a friendly encounter against club legend Andres Iniesta’s current club Vissel Kobe in Japan today.

The Catalans wrapped up the official season with a 2-0 defeat to Celta Vigo this past weekend, but will be hoping to fly off on a vacation on a positive note with a win in the friendly encounter against Vissel Kobe.

Ahead of the game, manager Xavi Hernandez has announced the lineup that will be taking the field at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo in a little while.

Inaki Pena, who rarely got a game during the season, starts in goal ahead of regular first-choice Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Julian Araujo makes his debut for FC Barcelona, as he slots in at right-back to mark his first-ever appearance for the club since arriving in the winter. Marcos Alonso starts at left-back, while Frenkie de Jong and Eric Garcia make for an interesting centre-back pairing.

Juvenil B prospect Pau Prim gets a taste of senior football, slotting in the midfield along with Franck Kessie and Pablo Torre.

Another young talent, Daniel Rodriguez of Juvenil A, gets the nod in attack, where he partners Robert Lewandowski and Ansu Fati.
